POWERFUL DEEP BLUE FLASH LABRADORITE! spinning sterling mandala necklace

This one-of-a-kind design features a hand-cut sterling silver flower, comprised of two individual layers of sterling, which I hand-etched with an intricate flower mandala design. The layers are riveted together. The top layer spins freely. I hand-cut some of the petals in an intricate pattern to create dimension around a polished labradorite cabochon, nestled within a complementing sterling bezel. The 18 inch long sterling chain allows the pendant to rest perfectly upon the chest. This is an eye-catching necklace, is perfect for layering and can easily be dressed up or down.

Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of color, known as labradorescence. It was discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770 who named it for the area. Lore of the Inuit peoples claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis, an ordinary stone that transforms to the extraordinary, shimmering in a mystical light that separates the waking world from unseen realms.
