recycled bullet necklace with dried flowers

This one-of-a-kind necklace features a recycled bullet casing, which was sourced from a private shooting area in the woods. This area is littered with bullet casings of all shapes and sizes and trash. I'm doing my part to clean up the Earth and make beautiful jewelry out of it! I hand-etched the bullet with an intricate flower mandala design and hand-cut a small round window on the front, then inserted a clear vial inside. This design features dried flowers inside. Finished with a goldstone point. Full pendant measures approximately 2.5 inches in length and is very lightweight. Finished with a 27-inch long brass chain.

Often mistaken as a mineral, goldstone is actually a glittering manmade glass. In gem folklore, it was first produced accidentally. The legend has many variations. Some say a monk, or factory worker, randomly knocked copper shavings into molten glass, others say alchemists discovered it during their attempts to produce gold, and still others believe monks practicing alchemy created the secret recipe.

Goldstone is said to be a master healer, stabilizing emotions and aiding in staying calm. Used as an energy generator and a good deflector of unwanted energies, therefore is a protection stone. It helps one set goals that are often lofty and work to attain them. Goldstone also has many of the metaphysical properties of copper, including strengthening the circulatory system, strengthening bones and easing arthritic pain, which is felt to be extremely helpful in increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
